Description
Unveil the essence of modern design blended with the bounty of natural light through our superior Walk-On Glass panels. Primarily engineered for internal installations, these glass panels act as a conduit for sunlight, brightening up residential or commercial spaces. They seamlessly adapt to external setups, making them ideal for covering wells or adding a unique feature to gardens.
Our Walk-On Glass panels are a testament to strength and safety, constructed with top-grade Toughened Laminated Glass, which is up to five times stronger, making them entirely safe to walk on. The glass undergoes stringent heat soak testing to mitigate the risks associated with nickel sulfide inclusions, delivering a robust and durable surface.
The standard thickness of our panels is 32mm, designed to endure a uniformly distributed load, making them suitable for both domestic and low commercial foot traffic. However, we offer a spectrum of thicknesses to cater to diverse structural and aesthetic requirements.
25.5mm, 31.5mm, 33.04mm & 39.04mm variants available as standard and thicker on request.
Our panels are available in a variety of finishes including Clear, Tinted, Low Iron (Ultra Clear) and Anti-Slip, ensuring a tailored fit for your design aspirations.
Customization lies at the heart of our offerings. We provide a bespoke service allowing for custom-built sizes delivered within a swift three-week timeframe. The available shapes include Rectangle, Right Hand Rake, and Left Hand Rake, ensuring a perfect fit for every space.
Our Walk-On Glass panels are more than just a functional asset; they are a statement of contemporary aesthetics. The optional decorative borders add a refined finish, making our panels a preferred choice for builders, developers, architects, and homeowners aiming to infuse a modern touch into their spaces.
Transform dark, dreary areas into vibrant spaces filled with natural light, creating an open and inviting ambiance that is sure to captivate and impress.

Edge Polishing
BuyGlass.Co pride ourselves on creating a beautiful end product. With edge polishing there are a few things to consider before you purchase & when evaluating the glass you receive.
Depending on the process used, the edge finish can vary slightly between panels. All BuyGlass.Co edge polishing is finished to an exceptional standard and fully QC'd before release.
If you require a uniform finish across all pieces then please contact us after the order is placed.
Otherwise we will process the polishing using whichever process we choose, and although generally this would mean all glass uses the same polishing technique there are certain times when we may use various methods.
Glass Corners
Corners are supplied, as standard, with dubbed corner. If you require unfinished or radius corner please let us know.
Laminated Glass
We use multiple methods for creating laminated glass. CIP, SGP, PVB & EVA are totally different processes which produce very similar results. CIP however, due to the injection process, has a faint area at the perimeter which can be seen upon closer inspection.
** WE GENERALLY USE PVB **
If you would prefer any particular method then you must let us know prior to production or else, at our discretion, we will use any method.

Overall glass dimensional tolerances are shown in Table A. These tolerances apply for flat toughened glass. Different tolerances apply to curved glass and are shown in the ‘Curvature’ section of this document.
All measurements should be taken using a calibrated tool with 0.5mm increments.
Laminated Glass
The tolerances given in the Flat Glass and Curved Glass sections should be used. Specific tolerances associated with laminated glass are shown below.
Edge Step Tolerance
The maximum edge step allowed on laminated glass is 2mm per metre or 2mm, whichever is greater.
Laminate Thickness Tolerance
The finished laminate thickness can vary due to the nature of the laminating process and the tolerances within the laminate’s constituent parts. The tolerance we work to is +-1mm or 10% of the nominal laminate thickness- whichever is greater.
Inclusions within the laminate
Inclusions are acceptable so long as they are neither bunched nor obtrusive when viewed in line with our standard inspection guidelines. Inclusions should be no larger than 1mm
