Description

The Glass to Glass Reinforcement Bar Set 5 in Satin Stainless Steel is a product designed to provide additional support and stability for glass panels that are connected to each other. Here is a detailed description of the product:

  1. Function: The glass to glass reinforcement bar set is used to reinforce the connection between two adjacent glass panels. It helps distribute the load and provide added strength to prevent the glass panels from flexing or shifting.
  2. Components: The set typically includes two main components:
    • Reinforcement Bar: A horizontal bar made of durable material, such as satin stainless steel, that spans across the gap between two glass panels. It is designed to provide horizontal support and maintain the alignment of the glass panels.
    • Glass Clamps: Specialized clamps that secure the reinforcement bar to the edges of the glass panels. The clamps are designed to hold the bar firmly in place without damaging or compromising the glass.
  3. Installation: The glass to glass reinforcement bar set is installed during the assembly or installation of the glass panels. The reinforcement bar is positioned horizontally at a suitable location along the vertical edges of the adjacent glass panels. The glass clamps are then attached to the reinforcement bar, securing it to the glass panels and providing a stable connection.
  4. Compatibility: The reinforcement bar set is designed to work with specific glass panel dimensions and thicknesses. It is important to ensure that the set is compatible with the glass panel’s size and thickness to ensure proper fit and support.
  5. Appearance: The glass to glass reinforcement bar set is designed to be minimally visible, with a sleek and discreet profile that blends with the overall aesthetic of the glass installation. The satin stainless steel finish adds a touch of elegance and sophistication while offering a subtle and brushed appearance.
  6. Benefits: The use of a glass to glass reinforcement bar set provides several benefits, including:
    • Enhanced stability: It helps prevent the glass panels from flexing or shifting, improving overall stability and durability.
    • Improved alignment: The reinforcement bar maintains the alignment of the glass panels, ensuring a seamless and uniform appearance.
    • Increased safety: The added reinforcement reduces the risk of glass breakage or accidents, especially in high-stress areas.
    • Compliance with building codes: In some regions, the use of reinforcement bars may be required to meet building code regulations for glass panel installations.

Please note that specific installation instructions and compatibility may vary depending on the manufacturer and model of the glass to glass reinforcement bar set. It is always recommended to refer to the product documentation or consult with a professional installer for accurate and detailed information for your specific application.

Edge Polishing

BuyGlass.Co pride ourselves on creating a beautiful end product. With edge polishing there are a few things to consider before you purchase & when evaluating the glass you receive.

Depending on the process used, the edge finish can vary slightly between panels. All BuyGlass.Co edge polishing is finished to an exceptional standard and fully QC'd before release.

If you require a uniform finish across all pieces then please contact us after the order is placed.

Otherwise we will process the polishing using whichever process we choose, and although generally this would mean all glass uses the same polishing technique there are certain times when we may use various methods.

Glass Corners

Corners are supplied, as standard, with dubbed corner. If you require unfinished or radius corner please let us know.

Laminated Glass

We use multiple methods for creating laminated glass. CIP, SGP, PVB & EVA are totally different processes which produce very similar results. CIP however, due to the injection process, has a faint area at the perimeter which can be seen upon closer inspection.

** WE GENERALLY USE PVB **

If you would prefer any particular method then you must let us know prior to production or else, at our discretion, we will use any method.
