Low-E toughened warm-edge double-glazed unit for your Swansea project
Request energy-efficient replacement double glazing with 4mm clear toughened glass outside, 4mm Low-E toughened glass inside, a warm-edge spacer and argon gas. Any A rating applies to a qualifying complete window system; this unit alone does not establish a window energy rating. Request cut-to-size sealed units for your Swansea project. Your actual postcode is used to check supplier coverage and delivery options.

Starting build-up: Inside: 4mm Low-E toughened; Outside: 4mm clear toughened; Warm edge spacer; Argon. To change the panes, spacer type or gas, use the bespoke configurator.
Configure your double-glazed units
Standard enquiry choices are 8–20mm in 2mm steps. Available cavity widths depend on the supplier and spacer system. For other sizes, the supplier confirms the spacer construction and sealed-unit specification. Use each unit’s Bars and decorative details section for duplex / astragal layouts and other decoration.
Nominal overall thickness: Supplier to advise. Calculated from the inside pane + cavity + outside pane when known. Confirm the existing frame rebate, required finished unit thickness, spacer availability and fitting clearances with your supplier.
Sizes can be left unknown. Contact details are collected once in the basket. All selections are quotation requests for supplier confirmation.
Finished size limits — Low-E toughened warm-edge double-glazed unit. Minimum and maximum finished width and height: supplier to confirm for the chosen thickness, finish, shape and processing. Enter the sizes you need for a quotation.
Online entry range: 1–20,000mm for each dimension; this is a form limit, not a manufacturing range. Unknown sizes can be left blank in Simple mode. Raw-sheet formats do not set finished-panel limits.

Unit 1: bars and decorative details Optional
These requests apply only to this unit row. Width means the visible bar face, not cavity thickness. Supplier confirmation is required.
Widths and colours are requests, not guaranteed combinations. Your supplier confirms availability, clearances, positioning, coatings, thermal performance, charges and lead times. Integral blinds are a separate product range.
Supplier quotation required
No automatic U-value, energy rating or security certification is assigned.
Confirm the full sealed-unit specification
Pane orientation is labelled inside and outside. Spacer thickness contributes to overall unit thickness; it also belongs in the complete thermal specification. Your supplier confirms pane coatings, gas, edge seal, compatible frame, dimensions and any safety, acoustic or security performance. Ordinary toughened-unit guidance is 5–10 working days delivered, subject to supplier capacity, specialist-sheet sourcing and route.

Description and application images
Request energy-efficient replacement double glazing with 4mm clear toughened glass outside, 4mm Low-E toughened glass inside, a warm-edge spacer and argon gas. Any A rating applies to a qualifying complete window system; this unit alone does not establish a window energy rating.
Suitable uses and specification limits
Request replacement or new sealed units for a supplier-reviewed frame. Provide the existing rebate, overall unit thickness, intended location and thermal, acoustic, privacy or safety requirements.
Pane choice, gas and spacer do not assign a whole-window energy rating, security class or installation approval. Confirm the complete sealed-unit specification and frame compatibility.
Available shapes and glass options
Standard units begin with their listed pane build-up. Use bespoke double glazing to request inside and outside panes, cavity, spacer and gas. Shaped units require a drawing and supplier review.
Current product: Low-E toughened warm-edge double-glazed unit. Keep the glass type, treatment and thickness with every panel.
Choose options in the planner →Edge finishes and fabrication choices
Sealed-unit edges form part of the glazing system. Confirm spacer, edge seal and frame rebates rather than selecting a decorative sheet edge. Request bars and decorative details per unit in the planner; other fabrication needs supplier review.
Include the face, orientation and drawing reference for each panel. The quotation must confirm the processing, tolerances and charges before manufacture.
Measuring instructions
- Record finished sealed-unit width, height, quantity and overall thickness. Mark the inside and outside faces and keep the existing frame or rebate measurements separately.
- Record each pane and cavity if known. Overall thickness includes every pane and cavity; do not estimate an unknown build-up from a photograph.
- Photograph the full window, frame/rebate and any identifying markings. Agree clearances, setting blocks, edge cover and fitting responsibilities with the supplier.
Not sure of the finished size? Use a simple enquiry and request measuring or fitting advice. A photograph alone is not a manufacturing drawing.
Typical raw stock-sheet formats
Primary manufacturers make raw sheet glass. Fabricators and processors cut, treat and assemble it for individual orders. Supply may pass through distributors; direct-sales arrangements vary.
Official manufacturer information: Pilkington, Fuyao Glass, AGC Group, Guardian Glass, Saint-Gobain. These are non-exhaustive industry examples, not preferred suppliers. Product ranges and supply arrangements vary.
These are typical formats for raw glass before cutting and processing. Availability depends on your supplier’s raw-glass source and the exact product, finish and thickness.
| Format | Raw sheet size |
|---|---|
| Machine size (standard) | 3210 × 2250 mm or 3210 × 2550 mm |
| Split size | 3210 × 2000 mm Custom split layouts may be derived from a 3210 mm ribbon; confirm the layout with your supplier. |
| Jumbo size (PLF) | 3210 × 6000 mm |
Raw sheet size is not a guaranteed orderable finished-panel size. Cutting allowances, machinery capacity and orientation, processing and handling can restrict the finished dimensions. Keep the product’s own width × height pairs and safety limits.
These formats do not establish availability for mirrors, laminates, insulated or heritage units, patterned glass, fire-rated glass or other specialist products. Their product-specific sizes and restrictions still apply.
Compare the quoted price alongside the confirmed specification, relevant quality documentation, traceable provenance and consistency. Agree shipping and lead times, handling and replacement arrangements, regardless of where the glass is made.
Enter the finished glass sizes you need in the planner. Your supplier confirms the raw material and what can be cut, processed, handled and supplied for that specification.

Delivery, collection and fitting information
Delivery
Usually 5–10 working days delivered for toughened units. Exact construction, sheet stock and supplier route must be confirmed.
Give your actual project postcode and access details. Agree packaging, unloading, handling equipment and the delivery date with your supplier.
Collection
Request factory collection where available. Wait for readiness confirmation and agree a time, loading arrangements and suitable transport before travelling.
Measuring and fitting
Ask for supply only, glass with fittings, or supply and installation. Measuring, removal of existing glass, fixings and fitting need an agreed scope and price.
FAQs and care advice
Does selecting a unit give the window an energy rating?
The supplier must confirm performance for the exact unit and, where relevant, the complete window system. Pane, gas and cavity choices alone do not assign a whole-window rating.
Can I request a quote before I know all the sizes?
Yes. Start with the intended use and what you already know. Ask for help measuring or specifying, then approve the final dimensions and drawing with the supplier.
Are shaping, processing and fitting included in the price?
The supplier quotation confirms each included item and any separate charge. Planner choices are requests for review; they do not establish a final price.
How should I care for this glass?
Follow the unit and frame supplier’s instructions for cleaning glass, coatings, seals and drainage. Report damage or moisture between panes to the supplier. Agree any replacement work before disturbing the glazing.
