Start with the application

The owner’s starting guidance is 6mm for small end-supported household shelves, with 8–10mm considered for longer spans or increased loading. Light-duty display cabinets may use 4–5mm. Each case needs support and load review.

Useful things to tell the supplier

• Clear span between supports?
• Bracket, end support or cabinet fitting details?
• What will the shelf carry?

Simple or Advanced?

Start simple if you do not know the specification. Advanced mode lets you describe a shared specification and add several panel sizes and quantities in one set.
