Description
An indicator lock is a type of locking mechanism commonly used in commercial or public settings to indicate whether a restroom or private space is occupied or vacant. The lock typically features a “Vacant” and “Engaged” indicator that can be easily seen from both sides of the door. This provides convenience for users and helps prevent unwanted entries.
Here are some key features that are typically associated with indicator locks:
- Privacy and Security: Indicator locks are designed to offer privacy and security in spaces where controlled access is required. They provide a clear indication of whether the space is occupied or available for use.
- Durable Construction: Indicator locks are constructed with durable materials such as stainless steel to ensure longevity and resistance to wear and tear.
- Polished Stainless Steel Finish: If a “Polished Stainless Steel” finish is specified, it suggests a high-shine, glossy appearance that is achieved through a polishing process. This finish enhances the aesthetic appeal of the lock while maintaining the durability and corrosion resistance of stainless steel.
- Easy Operation: Indicator locks are designed for easy and intuitive operation. They typically feature a handle or knob that can be easily turned to engage or disengage the lock.
- Versatile Compatibility: Indicator locks are compatible with a variety of door types, including wooden, metal, and glass doors, making them suitable for various applications.
- Suitable for Commercial and Public Spaces: Indicator locks are commonly used in commercial buildings, offices, restaurants, hotels, and public facilities to provide privacy and convenience to users.

Edge Polishing
BuyGlass.Co pride ourselves on creating a beautiful end product. With edge polishing there are a few things to consider before you purchase & when evaluating the glass you receive.
Depending on the process used, the edge finish can vary slightly between panels. All BuyGlass.Co edge polishing is finished to an exceptional standard and fully QC'd before release.
If you require a uniform finish across all pieces then please contact us after the order is placed.
Otherwise we will process the polishing using whichever process we choose, and although generally this would mean all glass uses the same polishing technique there are certain times when we may use various methods.
Glass Corners
Corners are supplied, as standard, with dubbed corner. If you require unfinished or radius corner please let us know.
Laminated Glass
We use multiple methods for creating laminated glass. CIP, SGP, PVB & EVA are totally different processes which produce very similar results. CIP however, due to the injection process, has a faint area at the perimeter which can be seen upon closer inspection.
** WE GENERALLY USE PVB **
If you would prefer any particular method then you must let us know prior to production or else, at our discretion, we will use any method.
